DO YOU OFFER VIDEO CONSULTATIONS?
No, we do not. Every locksmith issue is unique, which means we will need to send out a qualified technician to your location to properly assess the situation before providing a quote.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept: cash, Credit Card, Debit Card. Payment must be made in person after the completion of the lockmsith service. If you are a business, we accept billing.
DO YOU CHARGE BY THE HOUR?
No, we do not. We charge per job. Most locksmith work doesn't take a considerable amount of time to complete.
DO YOU CHARGE A SERVICE FEE?
Yes, we do. If we cannot provide an exact quote over the phone, we will give our best estimate and charge a service fee for a technician to come out and inspect the situation. Once the issue is diagnosed, s/he will give you a quote before beginning any work.
CAN I USE THE SAME KEY FOR ALL MY LOCKS?
Yes, but only if all of the locks have the same keyway or are made by the same manufacturer.
WHAT DOES "REKEY" MEAN?
Rekeying means you can keep your present locks, but requires changing the pins inside them so any copies of your old key will no longer work. Rekeying saves you time and money!

WHAT IF I WANT TO COPY A KEY MARKED "DO NOT DUPLICATE?"
A letter of authorization must be presented along with the key at the time the service. We will need the following information: identification of the key, the quantity of copies to be made, name of the person who will pick up the copied keys, and the name and contact information of the person authorizing the copies to be made.
MY HOUSE IS REALLY OLD, CAN YOU CUT OLDER STYLE KEYS FOR MY FRONT DOOR?
Yes, we regularly service homes across Bloomington and the Twin Cities suburbs with old locks and can create a key to suit each and every door regardless of age.
WHAT ARE TRANSPONDER KEYS? CAN THEY BE DUPLICATED?
Yes, we can work with your vehicle to program a key that will work with your ignition. Transponder keys contain an electronic chip as an additional layer of security for vehicles. This chip is programmed with a code to match the cars computer, allowing it to be used to start the vehicle. Most cars today feature keys with transponder chips.

Once you share your information with our dispatch, a licensed, Instant Lock and Key technician will give you a call. He will let you know how much the service call will cost and provide an estimate for the job itself.
SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT
Once all the details are discussed and the estimate is agreed upon, you will choose to either request that your technician comes out ASAP or schedule a future appointment with them.
